This morning, all the family visited the Milk Market in Limerick City. It’s a marvellous market buzzing with life and full of atmosphere. You can get anything there from food, including delicious crepes, cheeses, breads, pastries to tools, jewellery, painting and books and numerous other things.

I’ve never visited before but seeing that the son-in -law is from only out the road in Doon, he insisted on us paying the place a visit and am I glad he did! Molly loved the buzz and found the different stalls, especially those with a Santy in them magical. She also loved her cake and developed a taste for cappuccinos. Two month old Alice, on the other hand, did exactly what we wanted her to do -sleeping for the entire time.

For the month of December, the market opens Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Its well worth a visit just for the atmosphere alone.

The photo was taken near the end when the crowds had gone home and stallholders were beginning to think about packing up.
